Is there anyone here who knows to wOrk with arduino
I am a bit confused as there are so many types of arduino outta there. so it would be great if someone told me which is best for beginners. I'm planning to make a gesture control car and an obstacle avoiding robot. .. plz help.

go for an arduino UNO clone: you’ll spend less. Make sure that the ATMega328 is DIP (removable chip with pins on a socket) NOT the SMD version.
that way, you'll have more freedom moving your projects to the breadboard or to your custom circuit. And if you fry the MCU, you just replace it (4usd). The smd chip will require more skills, tools and efforts to be replaced on the arduino board.

I use a genuine Arduino Uno board for my projects. Still using the first one I ever bought and has been used in so many projects. Never had any problems from my Uno, Best board for beginers in my opinion. My robot project used the Ping ultrasonic distance sensor for navigation it would just wander arround the room going arround abstacles, turning arround if it came to a wall.
