when you develop a web app, you can see the result on each line of code. But, when you develop the back end, the result can be seen only on the final. So, probably most people want to see the result immediately :)

It's so easy to create a graphical web page. To develop a static web, only you need to have an operating system installed. Then you have a browser and a text editor, all things you need! Browser renders everything, HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Consider, you have graphics without any extra thing (e.g. frameworks)! Now, what about a simple console application? Umm... Not just an OS, you need a compiler at least. Graphics? Not a powerful one; you should import a framework, or use a library! I think the reason above is the most important one.

Easy to learn, and there is a large audience. Coz a website can be accessed on a pc, tablet, mobile.... Which is a bit different from other technologies like desktop apps and mobile apps which are device dependent.

Because of the perception that it's the most in demand and well paid, as well as being a lot of fun and perhaps easier to program. However, give consideration to computer security, data mining, and database administration. It's a thrill like walking on a razor wire stretched between the top floors of two very tall skyscrapers. You'll never be the same again and will probably have enjoyed it so much that you write a webpage about it.

Web not very easy. For beggining yes, but after... JavaScript is very special and for be very good it's lot of work. And in global, start to node.js and finish with htlm/CSS with varety of frameworks is a very very large panel of knowlege.

Web solutions have, for years now, been becoming a more popular option for many companies due to the growth in that space, in the way of available tools and services, enhanced security features, ease of exposure, improved user experience, etc. For these reasons the demand for web developers has grown and because of that more people realize that the web development space is a more secure career option.

Also, yes, the basics of web development, such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript, are fairly easy to learn, but there are many more things that go into developing most web applications, such as security, data storage, server-side codebases, integrations, etc. These things take a while longer to learn, but really give you, as a candidate for jobs, more value to potential employers.
