how do you find Python vs php?

As someone who has developed in both languages, I personally like Python more. I haven't done large projects in either language yet so can't really comment from that scale yet. I like pythons simplicity but also php is more of a web server based language and haven't personally seen it used for much else. I'm using Python/django right now to build a web application and so far I like the design pattern (MVC) that it provides that seems much easier than PHP, or at least when I programmed in PHP 10+ years ago wasn't really easy to accomplish from what I remember. Of course though, this post is opinion based so take it for what it's worth.

There are a few frameworks in Php now that use the MVC pattern like Laravel
