What do you like least about SoloLearn?
I have been seeing questions such as: What makes you love SL? What's the best feature you most like? What motivates you to stay on SL? ..... I would like to know also the feature(s) you like least in SL. What demotivates you here? What would you change if you were the owner? .....

@Halla Yup. I notice some people do that, and I believe it's to unlock badges they're missing.
Also, it's not that I don't understand, or that I'm not compassionate to those who are just learning and are just nervous about what to do. I believe we've all been in that position before, with one thing or another. The thing is that someone asked me my opinion on something that I would have otherwise just kept to myself because it ultimately doesn't matter at all. No sense being upset or hateful over the petty things in life. At the end of the day, people are trying to become better people, and that's a great thing, worth of showing up to help with. At the end of the day, I still show up and answer them anyways.

Now with that being said, I can't focus only on the things that I hate. Here are some things that I enjoy.
- I enjoy being able to help other people with their programming journey. It makes me happy seeing this much interest in it, so I'll do my part to help out. That's why I'm here on SoloLearn.
- I enjoy that this is an international community. I get to meet and speak with amazing people from all over the world daily, and that alone is something that's amazing in general. This helps the people of the world better connect and understand one another, rather than relying upon stories on TV or words given by our governments.
- Although I can get burnt out on certain questions, I enjoy that people decide to ask questions, regardless of what it is. A wise person once said, the only dumb question is the question not asked. If your resource to finding out is us, then so be it. :)

lololol! I'm so happy you asked me this question. :) I've waited forever to be asked this.
I hate all of the questions that you listed, with the addition of this one, and the fact that even though you just posted this question, in about 3 new threads someone will ask the same thing while ignoring the millions of threads that are exactly the same question.
I hate that someone uses a thread about something else to ask their real question, such as how to turn off notifications (which also has a million threads).
I hate that people put 0 thought or effort into something before they stick their hands out wanting someone else to do it for them. I don't know if that's generational or not, but as a programmer, you need to spend some time analyzing things and putting thought into the solutions. This includes taking the time to properly research and investigate. Google is an amazing resource.
I hate that one would post a question and not even consider posting their code with it. Don't get me wrong, I think we're all amazing here, but we're not THAT good usually.
I hate that someone that wants to be a hacker would actually ask, "How do I be a hacker?" My first thought is always, you won't.

What demotivates me here..... I suppose nothing. I keep showing up almost daily for no reason other than to reply to yalls questions.
What would I change if I was the owner? The entire discussion area. I'd create a real Q&A and have real guidelines that are strictly enforced. If you don't read and follow the rules, your thread is immediately removed. Maybe have a point system so if you continue to get infractions, you end up being temporarily blocked from posting so you learn to follow the rules. Spam isn't acceptable in any of its forms, including all of the spam that I do also.
- Basically, I'd try to turn the discussion area into StackOverflow. If you didn't search for your question, didn't try to solve the problem yourself, and didn't post all of your code/errors/etc... - your question is removed.

I agree with you Netkos. Some members even try to copy the questions and post them again (just to test, participate or get upvotes maybe?)

I start.
When I contribute to a thread, I receive notifications when another member adds an answer to this same thread.
Is there anyway to disable this feature? Thanks

I just read another thread, and liked the feedback of one of the members :
" Please people, stop the upvote spams, these are just getting so meaningless and annoying! "
