First language?

Should I learn HTML or Python? I do not know where start to program, before I would like to know a single language and then decide.
Do you think this is a good idea?

Hi,
html is not a programming language. If you want to more or less understand how programming works, start with HTML, CSS, and then something more complicated. e.g. JavaScript.
