What keeps you up?

What is the reason behind your scene ? Being here, in this app, "playing" it like others play candycrush/angrybirds etc, it means that you truly want to make something with your life. I'm curios, what keeps you thirsty of learning, of becoming better and making a sense to your life .. what are those reasons?

I m looking forward at people like Elon Musk, Gary Vaynerchuk, Mark or Bill Gates. They are now, at that level where they really can make a big change on this world. And this idea attracts me most, and I want to be a part of that...but I m thinking deeply than that... let s be serious.. it will be 10 or 50 years who knows, but at some point we will develop Artificial Intelligence..and what s next ? As humans, we don t make things 100% perfectly.

Certain people are my reasons, how can I benefit them and myself, what will I have to do tomorrow? I do programming for hire and work is my constant learning source aside from conventional Schooling outside of home.

Programming is the 21 century magic. I'd love to be a magician. Besides of that, it's really fun and it gives a good revenue.

Knowledge is mans absolute power.... money can not buy the knowledge of a programmer.

do what you are interested, that way you will have motivation in achieving it. Have a ultimate goal, score it someday(it can be bug or small) ~No dream is too big. No dreamers are are too SMALL~ You can never learn too much, learn till the end. learn to live. I don't program for profit or money(atleast not yet). but I do help others

What keeps me actively learning is my desire to challenge my capacity. For example 2 years ago I didn't know how to make a website but I challenged what I didn't know and strive to learn. If you aren't learning something new or growing then your dying.

I do programming to meet the demand/shortage of software developers in my country. And because I love technology and science, as well as enjoying providing solutions to problems.

Well, i am late, but i will answer your question because i saw it. It is what i love to do. I love to figure out how does a thing work and modify it as long it is able to be modified. That's why i'm here. I hope with my programming skill, one day i am able to make/do something useful/helpful for everyone and teach it.

When you're in school and you riddicule all the "teachers pets" and those that actually put effort in. But I realised at some point that being knowledgeable, intelligent and learning everything you can, makes you a better person. Theres so much that I want to know about, but I'll never be able to learn everything that interests me in my life time. I'd like to know about quantum computing, biology, physics, chemistry. There are soo many things that intruigue me. Programming stems from me wanting to learn Ethical Hacking. I'll probably never get there, because there is so much to learn, but I can only try

I do it because I'm lazy to do some "automated monkey" job on the pc that in my work is still used to replace the typewriter. Programming avoids me entering data manually in excel forms, lets me automate time consuming tasks like sat phone top up toke distribution, lets me hack hardware so that with cheap/recycled old stuff I can do more than many people are able to do with their top notch ultra expensive new gadget... Programming for me is a Tool that gives me the possibility to make my life easier: how much easier depends on how much I learn

"progress" is your answer .. People choose methods based on their level of understanding and knowledge and based on their inherited abilities .. then they all want and or love progress .. this progress is a symbol of progress towards your personal goals.

Adrian Marin Most humans do the things based on selfishness and wise people are in minor position .. so we can not expect a much better world in the future! About those names that you mentioned .. i do not know most of them .. what i know is about humans which are tied with usually invisible ropes by the surrounding evironment .. family .. society .. so they can not do much about the world even if they want it! .. unless they are accidentally! in a harmonic environmrnt We can not change our environment due to the same reasons!!
