My Environment it's very annoying but still got my ideas so that's easier for me ☺

For me, it's like I want the environment to be completely silent, hot coffee and cake are on my side, listen to music, and there's always a lot of paper ahead of me. I'm used to touching my finger when I'm programming😂😂😂

I only code on my phone so I am lots of places home on the reclining couch, outside, in the car at school waiting to pick up my kid, waiting at the dentist office. I have coded in restaurants, bookstores, while working out, while doing yoga, even in bed... I often listen to music even watch tv as I code and I almost always have coffee.

I tried alcohol with coding. Did not work for me. Wished it did, like for Jay Matthews. However nothing seems to be retained if I was drinking and learning.
I need silence or music that is of a classical nature. Coffee or tea helps.

@Elizabeth, same with me, I need silent environment , if it's not then I put on earphones with chill out trance music( without any lyrics songs but just instrumental else lyrics starts going around my head I sing and I might write lyrics in code 😂, sometimes it happens) .
and I need sitting access to all my notebooks near my desk without getting up and a notebook for the current project or topic under study,
@Bobbie, It's nice to do coding on phone , but people who uses IDEs or editors like atom, sublime or vim, will NEVER EVER code on phone again, phone is ok to read code or to do minor tweaking , debugging etc , when ur not on ur desktop( I feel so helpless when coding on phone) .
my chrome browser with atleast 12 tabs open , of which atleast 6 are taken by, MDN, stackoverflow, w3shcools.
my Ubuntu os , which never gives me trouble installing anything.
my love of my life ATOM editor.
when doing java then eclipse, but I ll shift to paid version of intellij when I start earning
also since recently I work a lot on frontend projects, then for device compatibility testing I open a separate chrome browser in Dev tools mode, it's just awesome, for those who don't know just press F12 on ur chrome, it also has and EDITOR if u wanna code on chrome itself.
Getting to know ur way around terminals is a must, people who complain about Linux just don't know how to use terminal and basic commands
Git is an awesome thing that u must know , github will be easier if git seems complicated, it's just how you maintain ur code and work with others on same projects , if u don't know git( or any other VCS), learn today and u ll thank me for ever.
you ll be sitting a lot while coding, make sure to take breaks and buy a good chair with lumbar support, or you ll end up like me, with back pain , neck pain. exercise daily, if can't then atleast stretch ur body parts whenever taking breaks.
somesay drink a lot of coffee, but I don't feel that way maybe I am still to feel the long hours schedule pressure

btw that fist accupressure technique was taught to me by a national level counter strike gamer in my college, and I am pretty sure that no other task involves that Crazy speed of typing in short bursts for such prolonged duration , it's mind-blowing to see a professional CS player , switching gears in split seconds and beating the shit out of the keyboard while typing.
Even guitarist uses it to reduce the pain in their left/ right hand palm after prolonged playing ( not the strumming hand )
there are some points in Palm that u must press with the fist, I better make a video of it and share.
also regarding that typing without seeing keyboard part, it ll be really tough in the beginning and won't let u do ur work properly because ur mind will be busy figuring out the keys , but don't give up as in few days it will become a part of your muscle memory, and seriously trust me on this , you would be able to type even after drinking.( @Jeffrey koh try it out👍), coz you won't be relying on ur eyes anymore, and muscle memory will kick in sub-consciously

Tea. Lots of it.

I m also going to share 2 hidden trade secrets for quick typing that only experience can bring,
1. it's an accupressure technique , mk a tight fist with ur right hand , and press ( poke) and slide with the conical part of fist across ur left palm including fingers, then swap hands and do the right.( If in doubt I ll mk a video link), it does wonders to ur tired fingers and palm, and even helps to kick u out of drowsiness.( warning: don't overdo it )
2. Learn to type without seeing the keyboard, do u see the small plastic bulge in F and J , use them as reference for left and right hand respectively, it ll be so hard in first few weeks, but you ll be treated like a wizard who can code with eyes closed and OH BOY the increase in typing speed is phenomenal, also it helps a lot with neck pain, coz we bend our head up and down to see keyboard and screen. there's a finger layout trick to learn it fast , install any typing tutor application , it ll show u the finger mapping for typing and practice
YOU RE WELCOME, and don't forget to like , subscribe and comment , 😂😂(srry for trying to create YouTube here)
