What language is used to write Windows 10?

Hello. I'm a Windows fan. I love its design, animations, its look and its functions. I'm interested in knowing how do they create these animations, give a wonderful design to the operating system and create functions and abilities for them. I'm waiting for experts to answer to my question. I'm in love with Windows 10 and I want to know which language or software is used to create all of these. Thanks.

Yep, I'm learning Java and C# for Android and UWP development. All I was asking for is what languages are used to write the OS itself. And not only, I'm also interested in how do they create the animations. What are they using to design the OS

C#, C++ - windows apps
C++, C - system apps and processes (explorer.exe)
C, Assembly - kernel, drivers

C# is the best way, if want build window apps, you can do it with python +qt, and other languages, but C# more native for window app.

As far as I know all “older” applications are written in C++ (Office etc.) and are maintained in it but newer in C#. As for the OS I don’t want to speculate or give you wrong answer.
