How and for what are frameset and frame tags used?

I cannot understand the tutorial given on sololearn... please help..

frame and frameset tags are somewhat old tags and aren't supported by the html5 standard anymore. with the frameset tag you would construct the skeleton of the page, like a table and it's cells. the cells being the frames in this analogy. each frame would consist of different html files. kibd of showing many html files in one page. you could use one frame as a header, one for the sidebar and one for the main content.

in html5 you use the <iframe> tag instead. a much simpler way.
