SQL Stored Procedure vs Running report in the Crystal Report (speed and efficiency comparison)
So I have been wanting to try and determine the best way to run a Crystal Report and to return the data to the Crystal Report. So I haven read 2 primarily different ways to do this which is run all of the queries and calculations through a stored procedure or to let the actual Crystal Report do it all. what kind of feedback does everyone have on the choice between these two options? Or is there possibly a better way to do this? thanks for all the feedback and opinions.

I prefer crystal reports do calculations because it might be faster in case your query have to search between all the data of your database which make it slow.
CR just calculate the data you already have fetched from your database so it's faster.
I hope it helps and hope you all the best
