Can someone work in google without an 'official' education on programming?

You probably can but I imagine the pay would be lowered to their minimum until you prove what you can do. Definitely better to go to college and get a degree though. And this app cannot be used alone to get you to be amazing at programming. It can definitely help and teach you the basics but alone, it won’t get you there.
