What to do with Java?

I know the basics of Java bit I don't know what to do now. Maybe try and make a GUI?

It's very interesting to create a simple fighting game. Create 2 characters with random hp and damage values and let them fight until someone is dead. You can add your own features to make this game more interesting.

It depends on your knowledge. If you know something about graphics and animations in Java, you can create animated version of this game.
But creating text version is also interesting.
