Is learning how to program good a surefire way to get a job?

So many people, articles, classes, programs, and the like are telling you and I that "coding is the FUTURE" or "you need to learn how to code BY NEXT YEAR." Though I do still plan to learn coding, is learning how to program a surefire way to get a job, and, if so, is coding the future?

Getting a job typically is not easy.

I believe would need skills, qualifications, connections and references help, and people skills ( interview and working for and with others ).
