I love programming because you can do almost anything with it. I especially love creating games, because you can make things that exist no where else.

@Volodymyr You're absolutely correct on that. It's good to have that creative spirit! :) As for myself, I naturally enjoyed thinking about things and breaking them down. I've always had a natural love for puzzles, problem-solving, and logic. I discovered programming when I was working on a text-based adventure game back in the 90s and I instantly fell in love with it. It's something that I use to learn and do just for fun back when I was a teen; at that time I never even thought about doing it for money or as a job. I also have a passion for art (drawing/sculpting/digital arts). For me, every program that I create is a program that I pour my soul into and a little piece of me is compiled with the code. When others get to use my program and find it to be of use, there is no greater feeling in the world to me. It's like an artist watching someone admire their painting or a chef watching someone enjoy a meal they've prepared. It goes beyond just being a job and is something that makes me tick inside; it's my drive.

@Raj What's the policy on spamming? That's only thing you're accomplishing. Going by your thread, the content creation guideline, his post needs to be programming related, which it is. I agree that it should be elaborated upon further to make it more relevant and apt to receive quality replies, which is why he shared his story with us first and allowed us to share our stories back with him. It's a "discuss" area, so this is within bound of the guidelines presented to us by SoloLearn. Either way, thanks for what you were trying to do, as I know it was said with good intentions I'm sure. In the future, maybe talk to them like a person and provide them with some tips, or maybe draw out of them a better means of approaching the conversation, such as having them explain their side of it first as a basis to start a discussion. Take care, Raj!

@Raj My apologies, I'm at work and just now returning. I can't speak on conversations that you have with mods, as I don't have those conversations with them. However, as a member, I did take the time to read the officially posted guidelines and such. In the guides, it says 'programming-related' content, rather than inquiries. Although, considering he is asking a question about our love for programming, then yes it does look like an inquiry to me. As I mentioned in my previous reply, I have respect for you and I know that you're doing it out of good intentions, which is commendable. That's why I also provided you with some information that'll make your job easier/more efficient in the future when assessing the situation. I wish you the best and please understand that I don't wish to offend you in any way. Hope the rest of your day is a great one, Raj!
