Why the header, navigation,footer etc tags are used instead of div in html5??

I don‘t know if this is the reason but for blind people these tags are really useful because it makes it easy for text to sound programs to choose what to read to them. It gets also probably used by search engines to identify content

They make your code more readable and logical, look at them like if they were containers to some specific tags for title like <header>, others for your main content <article><section>, extra content <aside>, hyperlinks <nav>.

Its semantic mean.... div has generic container meab but navigation, footer and header have a specific semantic mean
