Python is too slow for game development. Ruby and Lua are 2x faster for GameDev. But Python is faster in calculations.

What do you what to achieve with programming?

From my prospective - I’d look at companies in my local area, who were recruiting at the time. Next, I’d worked out what was in demand and what was the average salary package for those employees. From there, I was able to put a game plan together for what I needed to learn first...

It’s good to have goals... Especially, when the hard work you put in today, will help you with your career for tomorrow.
