Suggestion!

What do you think about laptops? How can it be developer's laptop? Thin or big or powerful or useful? Are there any model that can you advice me? And most important part, should I buy a MacBook? It seems very aesthetics but I don't want regretful. Are there any MacBook users that can tell me their opinion about laptop's?

It really depends on what you plan to do. I've done web, console, desktop and Android app development on awful specs (something close to a netbook with an Atom processor, 2GB ram, running a 32-bit OS) - The only downside is that things take longer to load, build. The rule of thumb is to just get yourself a laptop you are comfortable with, and doesn't cost you a limb. You only need extraordinary specs if you plan on game development / anything else which deals with heavy graphics. https://www.sololearn.com/discuss/1296951/?ref=app https://www.sololearn.com/discuss/453038/?ref=app

Kaushik Chandra I'm myself an undergraduate student (in final year now) Believe me, Laptops plays important role if your college allows using it in classrooms (cuz mine does) Sure you don't need expensive laptops at this stage so go to the local stores and look out for used laptops, all you need right now is decent 4GB RAM and a Dual core Processor >2.2ghz make sure every hardware works fine like WiFi Adapter and good battery back up and all. Don't invest more than 15 or 20 thousand rupees, its probably not worth spending that much. You'll be able to do (almost) anything related to coding and some decent modelling but don't expect you'll be playing any AAA game on it. Hope I helped.

Macbooks got this SSD which boosts the loading speed. Graphically it's good enough for average use. What developers loves about it is this MASSIVE BATTERY BACKUP. If budget isn't the issue, please go for MacBooks according to your preference. If you want a powerful machine that can handle everything you throw, like VR stuffs then it would be wise decision build Desktop instead. Not every laptop is powerful enough to handle VR stuffs and all. It's all about preferences and needs ^-^

We need lot's of graphics and much memory consumer and logically hard softwares for coding and designing so you should refer best one that satisfied your need. More RAM and processor power etc.. 😀

I thought of it too, but Laptops are pretty expensive for people like me who walk on budget road. I've got an average second hand laptop which is able to handle about anything (non heavy graphical stuffs) My laptop got a processor with 2.2Ghz freq with integrated graphics called "Intel HD 3000" pretty dull and old but usable. 4 GB of RAM is just fine. I asked my father about upgrade and he allowed me to collect enough money for it. For portable device, my current laptop is just fine (being a student) Still, I'll be building a PC desktop as per my req. All I need for my PC is to have a processor with Frequency >3.5Ghz and >=4 cores, 8GB of RAM is just fine and IMO RAM speed doesn't really makes difference according to the Price difference. 9th or 10th generation of GTX video card is great for any software like Maya, Blender, unity etc. Well, its all about preferences ^-^ For Laptop part, I personally think Mac is best choice for developers who aren't facing "Tight budget" issue. See my another comment

Kaushik Chandra Buying new laptop is always a good "start" and as for brands and stuff, it doesn't really matter that much, what matters is the system specification IMO If you got enough money, get a MacBook Pro or else get any laptop for "Home usage" from HP or Lenovo or Dell .. doesn't makes much of a difference. By home usage, I meant a laptop with average specs. You don't need any Business class or professional class laptops at this stage, well, you can always buy one if you want. Most of the Undergradute students like me focus on "Learning" codes and all and probably won't be contributing in some big projects so .. you know As for me, I am not pursuing my degree from any popular university 😓 it's a local and nobody cares about students much It's like we are self learning programming students giving Exams in a college just for a degree 😅
