If Subnet Mask is 255.255.252.0 , then how many subnets are available? Explain for your answer..

A subnet mask is a number that defines a range of IP addresses that can be used in a network. In combination with the address of a host, it allows to specify what other addresses are visible from that host, as the addresses in the subnet differ only where the bits in the binary value of the subnet mask is set to zero With 255.255.252.0, 1024 addresses are available, 1022 can be allocated to hosts (some addresses can't be used) For a given subnet, This set can be split into 4 class C subnets (255.255.255 0)

Sorry about the typo in previous post (now fixed). this is actually 4 subnets. 252 is 11111100 in binary, the last two positions being 0 allow for 4 values.
