Coding problems on A-level exams
I am 32, and decided to change my job from a teacher to programmer. I would love to be a web designer and developer, but also would like to code games and aps. As a training, I decided to solve problems shown on the Matura exam (Polish equivalent to graduation or a-level exam) from ICT and the problems there are also about other IT problems. My question: Will solving problems from such exams prepare me for work as a programmer? sample test for reference (in Polish) https://cke.gov.pl/images/_EGZAMIN_MATURALNY_OD_2015/egzamin_probny_2015/informatyka_pr/Czesc_1/A1Informatyka_PR_cz%C4%99%C5%9B%C4%87_I.pdf

Nah, no exam will train your skills as a programmer, they may help you with problem solving abillities, but there's a lot more to work on (algorithms, syntax, OOP, Design Patterns etc).
If you'd like to be web dev you got a few options to choose from:
1. html/css/javascript,
2. Java/Spring
3. Python/Django
4. Ruby/RoR
For game Dev I use C++ along with OpenGL and SFML, but that's a lot of learning.
Powodzenia na nowej ścieżce kariery :)

so forget about challenging my brain with those and just stick to doing HTML/CSS/JavaScript / PHP?

Exactly, get the idea of how to write in those languages and then try some frameworks, like Symfony 3 for php
