Difference between parameter and argument in function

Question

hi ,
I m surprised by the answer of the quizz (Lesson Function/Using parameters:
"When and how is the parameter used?
_By placing the value before the function name
_By placing the value before the function call
_By calling the function and placing the value in the parentheses //good answer"

I thought parameter was in the function definition in parentheses and when you passed it in calling function , it is called argument , isn'it ???
