Yes. Python is easier for the programmer. However, C++ is a low level language and python is a high level langauge. Which means that C++ usually runs faster than programs created in python. It really depends on what you want to do. If you want to create a simple game that is only 2 MB you will not notice much of a difference whether it is written in C++ or python. But most big games are written in mostly C++ due to its performance.
