Is it sufficient to be well knowledged only in any one of the programming languages?

Question

I am first year computer science student. In our high school we learned a little about c++. In college we learned c. Many of the other colleges had Python in their syllabus, but our college doesn't have it in our entire four years. What language I can learn in depth to become wise.
