CMS isn't a programming language, it's a generic name for programs like Wordpress. They "manage" your "content" aka your website, so all you have to do is click and edit your site like you would something in Word.

Well, I'd hesitate to imply that a CMS is like a WYSIWYG editor.

But yeah, like WordPress...

CMS gives ability to the end user to customized the pages unlike a website built on static. CMS has a backend or admin panel that they can use to manage every pages whether they want to update or create a new page or content.
