According to me, different frameworks are designed to fullfill required needs...... like if you just want a simple blogging website go with CI (Codeignitor) now you can also do that in Laravel but it will take alot of other resources and features to your application.

secondly choose as per your requirements....i use laravel even for 5 pages static website because sooner or later Clients requirements keep on updating.... and laravel is amazing with composer.

For me Laravel is the best
