conplete beginner here, just wondering what course path i should go down when it comes to web dev? id like to learn front end and back end.

You need to know HTML, CSS and JS. It's not a bad idea to learn how to work with Bootstrap and jQuery. For CSS it will be very useful to learn how to work with preprocessors (SASS, LESS, SCSS)
