When doing mathematics in python why does it sometime show 'time limit exceeded'

When doing other people's code in python why does it show time limit exceeded when adding numbers such as 1 + 1 or 2*2

you are doing the calculations in web based interpreter not real python. There is a set time limit on how long running certain code can take before timing out

you can as long as they dont take long time to process
