Make money from app?

How can I make money from apps?

I already know about ads, in app purchases, paid apps and subscriptions.

I was thinking about adding an optional donate button but how much would I earn from donate option?

I think that depends on the community and the nature of the project. In many projects, the community understands that the project needs financing and donations to reach a specific amount, and in exchange for this, some improvements are made that the community requires.

While in others the user base will basically not collaborate too much. This happens especially when the community is full of people without a real interest, or when the project offers nothing with respect to other alternatives.

In any case, it is something difficult to determine.
