Nobody gets the joke. There is not a "best" language. It depends on what you want to do :)

So, for the ones who didn't get the joke, let me answer this in a serious tone.
A few days ago I went after this answer and found out that there isn't a right one, only advice:
If you want to work as a programmer ASAP at a software factory, do a little research and learn the language that is the most used by companies nearby your house. Don't worry if it's not your ideal, you'll probably have to learn half a dozen more to keep up with the market. And don't forget about UML, software engineering, ticket system and version tools.
Now, if you just want to play around or if you have time before finding a job, you should start with something easy to memorize, like Python, wich is also powerful, and get your hands on a good and thick algorythm book. Again, don't worry if you don't like it, it's just for starters. By following this path, you'll probably be forced to learn at least a couple more along the road.
In any case, a good way to gain experience and make a public portfolio is to get involved in open-source projects on GitHub. Or so I've been told, I still have to try it out.
I hope it helped!

I myself like C#, and pythone, for their power and simplicity.
