For HTML5 & CSS3, was there 5 and 3 different versions of those two languages?

Hello, Noah ! Yes it is. The first is the HTML5 standard, a document on the W3C website, which describes all the new tags, attributes, new APIs, and a number of related documents, in which some additional details are rendered, such as the Canvas API. The second is "big", marketing, trendy HTML5, an umbrella for a whole generation of new technologies, which includes both the HTML5 specification itself, as well as a lot of CSS3 modules, various JavaScript APIs, and the new standard for JavaScript is ECMAScript5. CSS3 is another standard for creating HTML documents, which has much more features than its predecessor, CSS2.1. The only downside of this standard is that you have to add so-called prefixes to support the properties, which in turn increase the code. But even now, modern browsers began to abandon them.
