Which language to learn for competitive programming?

I am interested in web development ,but I also want to improve my coding and problem solving skills and also for competitive programming.
Which language should I learn for this?

From my personal experience, I would strongly recommend HTML and CSS for web development. On the other hand, for improving your general coding, problem solving skills, I would highly recommend that you start off with Python and then perhaps Javascript/C++. Python is always a good place to start off, if you don't have any prior experience with coding. I hope this helps.

for competitive programming, you should learn python, c++, c#, java (any 1 or 2 of those) and then maybe you can try something like pascal
