Is assembly worth learning in 2018?

It can be. If you want to write code that is time critical or to program hardware interfaces.
You can write that with c/c++ to. So it is more and more less worth but if you want to learn it for a job - learn it. There are not so many people anymore that can read and write assembler code.

Sometimes you'll get the odd project that uses it (like if you were to help write a virtual machine or something), but it really depends on if you prefer low level stuff.
