HOW TO START

Question

I want to be a programmer but I don't know the exact way to start, I saw many sites like codeacademy, sololearn, but I'm seeing that I'm not really learning I'm just following the steps that they please.
If you know a better method to learn, feel free to give me tips.

PS.: I'm attending Programming Logic at the college and JavaScript is being taught.

well the best way to learn is to practic. the more you practic the better you get.
