I have to do a project at my college level , suggest me a topic which will be more interesting and motivating!

I would say anything with an intuitive interface or GUI and some sort of 'backend'. (The backend can be an excel spreadsheet or database.) Also, the program should provide a simple solution to a common problem. Think about businesses, big and small and the different obstacles they face on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. Also, don't forget about logging. Whether logs are written to a separate file or directly to stdout, logging is a critical component that is commonly missed. Some ideas?... Monitoring/Alerting solutions, Predictive Analysis, Screen-scrapers, Disaster Recovery Operations, etc. Best of luck.
