So I wrote my html js and css files. How do I make them into a website my friends can visit?

My files are stored locally and open on any browser. How does one put this "online"? Do I need a host site? If so what are some good ones? Thanks

try the basic 1and1 hosting services. It's $2/month for the first year. I don't work for them. I have used their services including domains and find them to be very good. There are lots of other choices.

The easiest way is to rent a web space and transfer your files to it. Make them accessible by renting a domain aswell...
But there is also an option that you can port forward a request to your router on your pc so you can locally run your server, In this case your friends just need to know what your current IP address is. And even therfore are devices existing to give it a "domain" for free.
