What's best choice to learn as a physics student python or c/c++?

Between python and c/c++ which one will be most useful in future if I want to study astrophysics?

Satyam Das I just want to say again, learning C++ as your first language is worth it if you have the time and patience. If you are at least very good in C++, learning other languages becomes a piece of cake.. I guarentee you, you will understand python like its nothing because C++ already gives you that essential programming knowledge. If you learn Python first, you will find C++ so complex, when in reality its not

eventhough c++ is more powerful(and harder), python is the safer(or easier?) route for your case and most of the time youre just dealing with mathematics. but if youre into programming at the same time, c++ is the way to go because knowing c++ will make your life easier to learn other languages later on.. beware, learning c++ is not as easy as learning python and it will take a little longer to really be good at c++..

Kuyondo Thank you very much for your valuable answer. I've already started to learn c++ after your first comment.
