Career Questions: CS or IT

I want to have a career on cyber security (forensics, pentesting, security analyst, etc) but I don't know what college course to take. Should I take computer science or it? What are the specific differences between them? What are the paths I could take to achieve the aforementioned careers that I want in the near future?

I have chosen CS and I'm happy with it. If you want cyber security, it doesn't really matter if you choose CS or IT. One thing I know is that you'll need python for doing this and CS offers python course, except that you know python. Which city are you from?
