Which programming language is better PHP OR ASP.NET ?

i am confused to choosing a platform form a managment software .

I'd say neither, there are plenty of better or easier backend choices. Ruby on rails, node.js, Python Django, the list is endless!

But if you had to choose between the two, PHP (assuming it's up to date 7 version, 5.3 security support is being dropped ) might be my choice. Simply because I hear asp.net isn't free.

Edit: PHP is flexible, Facebook runs on it. asp.net probably is too, it uses C#.

It depends on your system. ASP.NET is Microsoft and PHP is linux, isn't it.

yes but its not about system . its about flexibility ? is it php flexable enough to code any type of Management software?

Heard Same. you need Windows Server...to use asp and PHP is free to use with Linux
