Can we get HTTP GET executed on click of a button in background

Question

i have hosted a webserver from ESP8266 to control my home appliances , everything is okay when i click on turn on button relay turns on and vice versa ...but now i want that when i click any button it executes task as earlier and also send a web request to autoremote using URL i guess we may use HTTP GET to do so but i cant figure out, how to do this exactly
