Why do I get followers more quickly as soon as I got above 1K followers?
So what I observed is that after I got past 1K Followers people are following at almost the rate of 1 follower per 15 mins.. Some followers are so fresh that they have no activity but started following just after joining.. Is this a flaw in algorithm or just a coincidence ?? https://www.sololearn.com/Discuss/1544838/?ref=app I referred this question since it's quite related to mine.. But wanted to know why exactly this happens 😅

Yeah, I was actually going to post about that too... It seems that after you reach 1001 followers, SoloLearn will start recommending you to people in your vicinity. It also seems that SoloLearn recommends you to people based on the location of people who's questions you have answered in the Q&A. It also appears that you may be recommended in countries where you have a lot of interaction with other users on a daily basis. I can't prove that, but it's just from my observation. Cheers.

We are the more senior-ed therefore people want to see what we are doing...

i believe so $hardul Birje ~
I have somehow mast 3 thousand followers who each one I appreciate

I guess...always active in Q&A section and could create impressive app Code..the more no of like you earn, the more number of followers you will have..

I think when you search for community members, the app recommends people to follow. I suspect it's partially based on how many followers you have (I noticed a spike at 100) and partially on your recent activity.

So basically Janning⭐ and BroFarOps ⚖️ it means the Level you're playing on and number of followers affect how I get followers 🤔

True but the more active you are in q&a, coding, challenges, and so on ALSO rapidly helps streamline followers...

Wow now I moved from 1K Followers to 1.1K Followers in less than 5 days.. 😅

$hardul Birje cheers bro. 😊

But that says....people of lower levels won't get much followers🙄
I think the algorithm needs some improvement 😅

Sounds logical Anthony Quick as I do see much in the Indian region and elsewhere verses focusing solely on the United States ~ and most of the questions I answer seem to be more Indian based users... Also most of the codes I review are Indian based users...

I haven't been as observant about any regional ties, but I am relatively certain that my level doesn't weigh into the algorithm (if it does at all, since I'm only level 12 and am in no particular hurry to level up) but my Q&A activity does (since I don't participate much in other ways).
The SoloLearners that follow me after I answer one of their questions or participate in the same thread as they did I will generally attribute to my direct efforts, but the followers that just started and I can't discern a direct connection to them after poking around their profile I attribute to the follower recommendation algorithm.
I think posting new codes shows up in the Code Playground area, and I think there are users who are dedicated to checking up on recent codes and liking them all. (Nifty public service. 😁) I'm not entirely convinced that the activity there feeds into the follower recommendation algorithm, but I could be very wrong. 🙂

Well I agree with you all especially with Anthony Quick
Since many of my followers are from India!!

Yes Janning⭐ the Q&A answers matter a lot for followers.. I have sometime seen it...
Some people follow you even when you answer their question 🙄

Congratulations. 🙂

Thanks.. But that tells Anthony Quick was correct!!

That’s what happened to me. Not even two week, I already got 1.2k follower.
