The really easy way is Python, it is easy to understand, no pointers, no brackets {}, No Semikolon. Datastructures are easy to handle, in General you need less Code to produce equal functions Like in C. It will corrupt you though, you will forget to use semikolons and brackets in other languages

He is looking for a programming language, WebDevelopment does barely need these. JavaScript is not a programming language, but for sure it will add a Lot to your web-dev skills. As an advice, If you want to Finish web development first you may also want to learn about Databases, using PHP and SQL.

I have to admit that JS is as Close to a programming language as Python, but they aren't 100% programming language. HTML is a Markup language, and is far away from programming
