Is C# looked down upon?

I came across a blog saying c# is a black mark bad language. It was written before .net core back in 2011. I am just curious to hear from the community. I dont think so. I really enjoy it. I've learned python in a college course and am curently learning c++. C# is one of my favourite languages. Sure it has lots of sugar and algorithms built in, but I enjoy working with it. I've written a few algorithms in python so I am not completly theory illiterate, but I also dont have a degree yet. I'm not about to bash anybody if you hate it. I'm just currious to hear from the community. Does it still have the bad reputation it once had?

Think the being "looked down upon" of C# and even .Net mainly is due to the fact that it's not really cross-platform at all, most of the tech savies I know are more into Linux or any unix-OS, which does not support C# (through native means, I know of monodevelop). Probably another thing that plays a role in it is the "GUI builder" mentality, "if you use that you must be lazy and incompetent" kind of arguments. However, no matter what language you use, there's always going to be people who hate the language just for the sole reason of existing. I myself love C# and any C derived language since most of the stuff is interchangeable. Despite the common hate against C# or .Net, they're very capable and have a lot of depth given you are willing to commit.
