What language is best for getting started?

I'm new to code and not really sure where to start. I'd like to gain a solid understanding of programming and hopefully move toward a career in the field. What languages open up the most/best career oportunities? Should I jump straight into those or begin with a more easy to learn one like python?

C++ , java has most career opportunities and web too

go with c . its the starting language for students before diving into deeper languages . python is good for basics but when you will try to package or make it executable ...you will see hell . the only option will left is to distribute real codes everyone can edit . its best for open source but .....all doesn't want to reveal the codes they have worked so hard on isn't it ?
