How you can use SoloLearn to get hired ASAP?

Question

I would like to hear your suggestions and advices on utilizing SoloLearn in an effective way which heightens our chances of receiving a job offer in real life, and to get hired as soon as possible.

In my opinion, a few effective steps which can be taken would include building our profiles on sololearn as professional as possible, and link it to your CV. Although not many companies are aware of SoloLearn, professionalism can be recognised anywhere. We should also try to get more friends on SoloLearn and discuss things with them in order to get familiar with formal terminologies in the working field.

I don't think so. Maybe they might look at your codes and see what codes you have made?

yeah.. I would agree.. Sololearn is a good place to start building those blocks, but not a place to get or pivot into a job asap. That takes time and practice. Personally, I'm not too concerned with building a professional profile on here... this is my playground to try, mess up, learn and play.

While I have heard of other tools out there.. I would think to really showcase your work, a GitHub account would be in order...as that I think that would be more well known and it is where I have started, but I really don't have anything on the account yet except a poem.

Don't worry, there are some very closed-minded people, no matter where you go. I really can't count how many times I've arrived at a "Are SoloLearn certifications valuable?" type question (to moderate because they are duplicates) and see all these "No"s dominate the answers.

Your resume/cv is your resume/cv. Present what you want, leave out what you don't want, and don't lie. It's an advertising piece. Use it properly and tailor it to your target audience.

Contribute valuable content. Answers in the Q&A are accessible by search engines, so it helps potential employers who are willing to dig a little deeper figure out what kind of expertise you have to offer and how you respond to other members of the community.

My hope is that the website will also showcase the lessons that were created by community members so lessons you submit to the lesson factory that get approved by SoloLearn will be searchable.

My other hope is that once the website also has the Activity Feed feature, the content we post on there will also be searchable.

Confusing correlation and causation, maybe? Your friend may have got a job after putting Sololearn certificates in his CV, but it is unlikely that the certificates were the main reason he got hired. That said, Janning is right - You are free to put anything you deem fit into your CV.

(I agree that GitHub is a good place to showcase your work. I prefer to think of the SoloLearn Code Playground as a place for me to offer beginners illustrations of pared down concepts. Anyway...)

Take advantage of LinkedIn's add certification feature.

Work toward being a moderator (not just for the cool badge and other perks, but to help the community). It makes for a good volunteer position on your resume / CV and indicates that you like helping others and have some roots in a coding community.

⚡Prometheus ⚡ I entered a discussion with someone before and he completely refused the claim that sololearn can affect your career situation and I said to him just wait sometime.
yesterday I know a friend who get a job after he put sololearn certificates in his Cv. I think it is from the wisdom to invest in your sololearn profile.

laura I agree with you, even me, start the professional career on github, but I predict a brighter future for sololearn, so I advise everyone not to forget to deal with sololearn as professional platform.
