Voice command string recognition script for python3? Wanna make interactive voice command interface for QPython3.

Question

I saw a program on QPython3 that uses sl4a and takes a string as an argument for ttsSpeak() method and speaks that string.
My question is, can I do the reverse method i.e. it is me who will say something and the program will recognize the string and print the string on python3 console?
I want to make an interective voice command program for my android on QPython3.

as far as i know the google api has voice recognition
