Advice about the project

Question

I want to make an online store. With MEAN or maybe MERN stack. The purpose is to make solid project and then apply for Frontend position. My friend who is a medior C# developer told that if I did it, I would show the solid knowledge of JS.
I need your advice and opinions.

Definitely good idea, you'd learn a lot in both the cases.

MERN (MongoDB, Expressjs, React, Node)

MEAN (MongoDB, Expressjs, Angela, Node)

It ll be good in either Angular or React. Both are awesome and have their own advantages and disadvantages.
My personal belief is that React has a learning curve bit steeper than Angular. So I ll suggest to start with MEAN.
