WordPress is a content management system (CMS). You need not to do any coding if you are working on WordPress. It allows you to use many plugins and modules which helps you build a complex website.

on the other hand, if you have good knowledge in HTML, CSS and JavaScript, then you can develop your own website but it can take a lot of time when compared to WordPress.

although there are plug ins and themes in wordpress; you do need to know coding if you want to change or customize your site to your own needs. popular wp websites are, people.com, simpleprogrammer.com, techcrunch.com and many others. You can use ---.com/wp-admin to test on anysite that youll like to see if theyre using wordpress

from my point of view, learning to code comes with its challenges, but then you get to do your own sh*t and that's the beauty of coding
