What's the best way to become good at web development along with embedded systems?

Should I focus on learning only javascript since its able to do almost everything nowadays or should I learn python too, since that is what most people use to program various electronics. I'm just a beginner. So could someone please help me decide

If you want to proceed to embedded systems, python will help you as a software so you can get your machine managed by your software and the software can be inserted in the website using <embed> tag

Edit: You could have advantage to skip PHP if you do python properly(topics like database connectivity and working with files)..
