Ado.net vs entity framework

Question

What is the difference between ado.net and entity framework ?
I always use ado.net and do not know entity framework.
More and more I hear entity framework.
What is the difference ?

ado.net is good.
I have use it with sql commands in c# code. You have to create your own datacontainers and keep track of changes.

I am just starting to use ET. This more about object and collection and using Linq to querry database. Less code and finally in memory database.

Haven"t decided yet which one to favor.
