Is Python good for game programming

Question

Im currently learning python and it goes very well. I love that language and I want to learn that 'How good will be a game coded with python'.
I'm not asking for languages that is good for game programming. Just, Is it possible to create advanced games with python.
I will be pleased if someone gives some advice and/or suggests a game engine that is for that purpose.

Some examples of python used in game development. (Mind you, I think only specific parts of the program is in python. For 3D graphics etc they probably use a lower level language...)
