Confusion

Question

I am in class 10 and I am going to give boards next year, so my elder brother asked me what is my aim...
I told him that I like to code. He advised me of software engineering. He warned me that I should be totally ready for software engineering else there is no other career for coding...
I have learnt some basics of c++ in my lower classes and is now learning java in school. But the school teaches only how to write programs. In school, we are till now not introduced to the working of private and protected classes...
I am in a worry that what if I fail for my career then what I would do...

First, you spelled career wrong.
Second, though you might not know a lot about programming, you will go to university so you can learn more there, so don't worry.
